Very Little About Me

I’m Chindo Nkenke-Smith, a Creative Director and Multidisciplinary Designer from Jamaica, Queens. I’m also the founder of Amalaeju Design Studio, where I bring over a decade of experience in brand identity, print, and experiential design. My work is rooted in Diasporic culture—honoring tradition while embracing bold, contemporary expression.

 

I design with intention, care, and a deep belief that beauty is most powerful when it carries meaning. Whether I’m creating visual identities, books, or merchandise, my goal is to amplify underrepresented voices and create work that resonates beyond the screen. As a mother and spiritually grounded creative, I hold space for process, presence, and purpose in everything I make.
